Name the chain of actions
Write the trigger, the tools the agent may use, and the output a colleague would accept. If you cannot list the steps, you are not ready to automate them. A slide about agents is not a workflow.
Bound the data and the side effects
List systems the agent may read and actions that must wait for approval. Use sample or redacted material in a first pass. Decide what may leave the environment.
Build cases that include failure
Representative prompts are not enough. Include missing fields, conflicting instructions and a stop condition. NIST’s AI Risk Management Framework offers a voluntary way to talk about risk through design and use.
Keep a named reviewer on the clock
Specify who checks the output, how the workflow falls back, and the time zone for that review. An unattended demo is not an operating process.
Count operating cost against the current path
Provider charges, review time and rework belong in the same comparison. GEOSTICH does not certify tools and does not invent a saved-hours case study.
The working checklist
- Trigger, tools and accepted output.
- Approved systems and blocked actions.
- Failure cases on the evaluation set.
- Human reviewer and fallback.
- Cost compared with the current process.
